Last updated: 2026-10-14

(Google AdMob)

6. Android

English

This policy is provided by PikukaLuda for the Android versions of Horde Hauler that include rewarded video ads, until it is updated. The Windows version has no ads and does not go online.

1. The game itself

The game has no accounts or in-app purchases. The developer has not separately integrated standalone analytics or crash-reporting components; the ad SDK's own data handling is described below. The developer does not directly receive or sell your personal information, and does not receive the local game data described below. A rewarded video plays only when you tap “Watch ad”; ads never pop up during combat, and the whole game can be played without watching any: every vehicle in the garage can be earned through achievements, and an ad only unlocks it sooner.

2. Ad service (Google AdMob)

Ads are provided by Google AdMob, using the Google Mobile Ads SDK and the User Messaging Platform (UMP). To serve ads, measure them and prevent fraud, these components automatically collect the following and send it to Google: IP address (which may be used to estimate general location), app and ad interactions (such as launches, taps and video views), diagnostic information (such as load time, hangs and energy use), and device identifiers (the Android advertising ID and app set ID). The data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and handled by Google under its policies; see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

The ad SDK may also send Google exception or crash stack traces involving the SDK to diagnose problems, subject to its configuration, filtering and sampling.

Consent checks run at startup, and ads may be preloaded on reward screens or for a locked vehicle in the garage, so ad-service data processing can occur before you tap "Watch ad". Playback still requires your tap.

The Android package with ads therefore requests network access and the advertising ID permission. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android's system settings.

The ad SDK also declares Android's READ_BASIC_PHONE_STATE normal permission in the package. It allows access to basic phone state, such as cellular network type and software version, and is granted automatically without a runtime permission prompt. It is distinct from READ_PHONE_STATE and does not grant access to phone numbers, call logs or contacts.

3. Consent and privacy options

At each launch, the game refreshes the status of your privacy choices and shows Google's consent form when required (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland). Ads are requested only after any required privacy-choice process is complete and the SDK allows requests. Depending on your choices and applicable requirements, Google may serve personalized, non-personalized or limited ads, or serve no ads. When required, you can change your choice at any time under “Options → Privacy options” in the game. Declining or withdrawing consent does not affect the rest of the game; the free revive and free rerolls are always available, and vehicles can always be earned through achievements.

4. Data stored on your device

The game stores only on your device the progress of your current run (autosave and its backup, including whether this run's ad rewards were claimed), research progress, achievements and records, vehicles unlocked with an ad, and sound, display, language, difficulty and tutorial-tip settings. This data is used to continue your game and remember your preferences. It is kept in the app's private storage and read locally by the game. The game does not access your contacts, photos, location, microphone or other apps' data.

Android system auto-backup is disabled. This data remains on your device until you uninstall the game or clear its app data in system settings; either action deletes it. There is no server account or cloud copy for the developer to retain or delete.

5. External links

Author links on the Credits page open in the system browser only when you tap them. External websites may process data under their own privacy policies. Apart from the ad service above, the game itself sends no network requests.

6. Android and app stores

Android and app stores such as Google Play may process installation, crash and similar information under their own policies. This processing is not integrated into or controlled by the game; please consult the relevant service's privacy policy.

7. Children

The game is intended for players aged 13 and over. It is not directed at children and is not part of Google Play's Families program; ad content is capped at the Teen (T) rating.

8. Changes

If a future version changes these practices, we will update this policy first and show the revised statement in “Options → About & licences → Privacy” in the game.
